Checking client/engine version?

Hopefully a really simple question:

The client/engine version is updated every couple months. We’re a small office, and there’s currently no need to update it automatically, only the virus definitions. ADNM still downloads client updates from the Internet mirror, just as it does for VPS files. But where do I look in ADNM to see that the client has changed? I’m checking everywhere for a “4.7.801.0” string and not finding it. Am I missing something?

in adnm you have to right click on the tabs where you can see which vps file is installed.
is there a sign infront of “engine version”?
if not, then set a sign.

so i can see the engine version

but engine update runs only manual.

you have to use a client-task called “updating task”. its always update by default all machines with agent.

i hope i could help

Thanks for the reply, but where do I find the current VPS file in ADNM? I can see what is installed on each client, and the clients also list their engine version and VPS version, but I don’t see a list of new engine releases except for the sidebar at http://www.avast.com . ADNM does list its version numbers in Help → About ADNM. Am I missing something? Actually, there should probably also be a notification area for ADNM updates, too, instead of relying on Add/Remove Programs…
