Chest problems

I’m unsure whether I’m in the right forum or if this has been asked before so I’ll apologise in advance.

I have some Trojan Horse viruses on my PC, I have had this before and Avast dealt with it no problem, however this time when I try to move the infected files to the chest it comes up with a message about it having trouble with the server.

Any ideas on how to fix this are very much apprieciated.

¬.¬ I hate Trojans and it’s already been on my PC for far too long!!

Thanks for your time.

Hello and welcome

Well this kind of errors are generally related to other antivirus present. Do you use other antivirus? Which one?

But anyway repairing avast! installation should resolve the problem - go to Add/Remove Programs → avast! antivirus → Repair (you have to have active internet connection to do the repair) and then restart

Thanks for the info. I’ll let you know how it goes ^^

…hmmm It doesn’t appear to have the option for repair… only add or remove.

OK, my mistake (should have explained it better), sorry…
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair). There is a repair function I am sure

It works!

Thank you so so much!

I’m just rescanning now after my restart to make sure everything is gone.

Thanks again hugs

;D

You’re welcome ;D I’m glad I could help, and once again Welcome to avast! Forums 8)
