I have several files inside Chest that i want to submit to you (Alwil).
Now i select SMTP (i have correctly entered settings in Program settings for this) and also check the “Do not show this dialog again” and click Send.
But when i try to send next one i get this dialog again even though i have checked that checkbox.
Comments for files in Chest are also sent along files right? I use those instead of this dialog (on picture above). I asked this before, but i forgot (again) heh.
You are right, the checkbox state is not propagated.
Now, the question is if it should affect the current (Chest) session only, or if it should be stored even for the future…
And yes, the “additional info” is sent along with the file.
I meant the file comments that can be added at any time inside Chest. If i remember correctly Vlk said they do go along sent file, but i’m not 100%.
You can add option to disable this checkbox in Program Settings (Confirmations section) if you want to change it later.
Also progress bar for sent files (upload/transfer progress) would be nice (i usually send many files to you from within chest and it’s not really fun to click 30 times for 10 files).
Or a dual progress bar with progress for all files and current one.
But this is not necessary.
Btw is there any chance to fix this Chest checkbox problem for upcoming 4.6.614 version?
The user can’t add [Enter] command in this text Window.
Ctrl+Enter does not work too if I remember it correctly.
The user gets a long line information and not a wrap up one. ???
Thanks Igor.
Btw, a little off-topic, is there any possibility that the users update just a part of avast installation (I mean, the Portuguese users update their help file)?
I’m afraid not. An avast! build is a group of files, all of them have to match the (internal) list - so that the installation is in a consistent state. It’s not possible to update just a few files.
(I mean, of course some of the files may stay the same as in the previous versions - if nothing has changed in them, but it simply has to be called a new program version - and behave as such).
