Why jam Chrome down our throats? If I had wanted Chrome on my computer I would have installed it willingly! Because one of my computers runs a finicky, fragile airfoil design program I now get to rebuild it from scratch with only the software I actuallly WANTED on it. It will not include Avast because the airfoil program doesn’t like Chrome being there. Uninstall? Nope, that won’t restore the dlls that are the issue. Google is far too intrusive. I don’t use any of their stuff any more including their search engine.
I find it disconcerting that a company whose business is protecting userrs from unwanteed intrusion wull use opt-out rather than opt-in for software unrelated to their product. I just did an update and chrome was installed I did not see an option to exclude it = it is VERY difficult for me to read the Avast windows; they are not low vision friendly.

User (our) Privacy went out the window the second any of us decided to go on the internet.
It starts with the information collected by your Internet Service Provider and escalates from there.
Google is just better at collecting information than most.
