Chrome has a trojan?

Well hello there!

Since last time I got some great help here, I get back to you…

This morning I tried to open Google Chrome Browser, but avast detected a Trojan… JS Downloader-ZY

It is detected in the file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Applications\chrome.exe

It’s true that recently, on Chrome I’m being redirected to PC Virusscan online-websites and sites like paltip.com

I’m scared to put my USB in my PC and it will get infected, since I’m busy with my thesis…

I have a windows 7 64-bit system btw

Can someone please help me with this?
Last weekend I did a Malwarebytes scan and nothing was found…

Attach your logs. (MBAM, OTL and aswMBR…!!)
Instructions: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

Attached you will find the 3 logs. I hope someone can look at this? For the moment I’m using Mozilla Firefox and thank God all my files have been uploaded through Dropbox, so they’re safe.

Could you let me know if this stops the alerts

[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top
[*]Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done
[*]Open OTL again and click the Quick Scan button. Post the log it produces in your next reply.

THEN

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

Here they are.

I see that many annoying things have been deleted such as similarsites & co. I never knew how to delete them!

Thanks in advance!

Have the alerts now ceased ?

Yes! Thank you Essexboy! I really appreciate your help!

One little question, how do I delete all the programs used? OTL, aswmbr and AdwCleaner?

Essexboy will remove them when you say so … when he is back online

In that case methinks I will send you on your merry way

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean
