Chrome , , , yes or no?

Hi folks . . .

I’ve used Avast for quite a while but they now appear to be linked to Chrome? I’ve not (yet) switched to Chrome. Am I missing out? What does it give me that improves my PC? I’m happy as I am with the format and operation of Gmail etc and don’t want it changed into something I don’t need and didn’t ask for?

Thanks

Where are you seeing this appearance to Chrome ?

I don’t use Chrome nor the Avast Secure Browser which is based on the chromium language used for Google Chrome.

You can also use the ASB Browser Add-on.

As far as I’m aware that is the only connection with Chrome or the chromium language.

It’s for the Anti-Track extension to my browser which requires me to ‘Add to Chrome’ in order to install.

Thanks for that I wasn’t aware of that, being an Avast Free user and no anti-track connection.

Avast have several bolt-on extras which are available for an annual fee such as Anti-Track / Anti-Virus (AV) / Breach Guard / Clean Up / VPN and so on . . . . Before this query arose, my local IT guy said I only need the AV. Yes, the other stuff does improve performance but is not a necessity.

I have been using Avast Antivirus Free for just over 21 years, it suits my requirements.
