Some take their portable browsers with them. I use Portable Flock on a mem stick when I visit a host machine. Some like to have a portable version of a AV solution as well. Who uses portable ClamWin? The installer for the portable version is larger than the regular version.
The regular setup file is 5.46meg and this one is 6.02meg.
After install, it requires 13.9meg so make sure you have enough room. 
why need this when your PC has on-access protection? ???

It is just meant for those occasions you use a memory stick on a host computer (work, internet cafe, area where there is no Internet, stand alone, not fully patched, not fully protected computers). It is just handy to have it on you, whenever you come in an environment where the protection is not fully as awarted. Then besides ClamWin is non-resident & a good extra to use once in a while, and then why not from a mem stick?
We are a world forum, and in remote areas it can be a plus to have it (keep it actual anyway).
