Clean Message Date

I have my settings for my email to include the clean inbound and outbound messages in the emails. I installed avast in 2004 and that’s what the date says.

avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean.

avast! - copyright (c) 1988-2004 ALWIL Software.

The email I get from a friend who recently installed avast include the copyright date of 1988-2005.

My question is is there an easy way to update this, it’s not a big deal but if it is something simple I would like to do it. Thanks a ton! ???

What version of avast are you using (it should have changed with program update I believe), the latest is 4.6.665 so first up date your program version.

If that doesn’t resolve it, you can manually edit the text, see image, Internet Mail, Customize, SMTP or POP tab, Format of the Note.

I’m running version 4.6.652. I’ll update and see what happens and if that doesn’t do it I’ll edit it manually. Thanks much DavidR!!
;D

Just to let everyone know, The update of the program didn’t change the date. Very simple to edit it manually though as per DavidR’s instructions. Maybe this should be included on future program updates??
:-\

No, please… Do not change the edited notes!!!
We will lose our changings on each program update :frowning:
Maybe the better ir removing the copyright information that, you may think, is not that useful :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh ya, I didn’t think of that. If you have your own personalized edited message that would set it back to the default. Bad idea I guess. It’s not that big of deal to do it manually, I just have mine set to the default. Thanks for the input Tech!!
