clean re install major issue

This is totally weird. Was attempting clean a reinstall exactly as I have before when I have faced issues. Every thing was fine until I got a pop up box just before the end of the installation saying something similar to this " ndis.flt.dll is unable to install in current location ( the Avast program on the c . drive ) then it told me to browse for another location. I tried". During the browsing it found a place. Then as usual Avast requested a restart.
PROBLEM: when it rebooted my system rejected my password to open my PC. I tried a safe boot to eliminate a keyboard issue and to do some diagnostics. No go!..This is worse than a BSOD. Please help.
BTW: I used the version update from this blog.

I am completely unable to get into my system at all.

Download the following three programmes to your desktop :

Rufus

For 64bit systems
2. Windows 7 64bit RC I will PM the link for this
3. Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64

Insert the USB stick Then run Rufus

Select the ISO file on the desktop via the ISO icon.

Press Start Burn

Then copy FRST to the same USB

Insert the USB into the sick computer and start the computer. First ensuring that the system is set to boot from USB

Click repair my computer

At the command prompt type the following :

notepad and press Enter.
The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
Select “Computer” and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
In the command window type e:\frst64.exe or e:\frst.exe dependant on system
and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
The tool will start to run.
When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.

It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.

I am completely unable to open my computer because it will not accept my password to unlock my machine. If I am not being clear please tell me. I can’t open in safe mode either because it is password protected too. I know my password! This happened after my clean re install.
In my first post I tried to explain what happened during install that was very strange. So…

For Essexboy. My other device is mobile. I will have to use a friend’s computer to download the programs onto a USB flash drive. Won’t be able to get at it any sooner than over the weekend sometime.
This may be a silly question, but is worth a try to use the command prompt on the diagnostic boot page?

Essex boy you are so very helpful and I think Avast is very blessed to have someone with your knowledge offering your services.
I must say (with my head hung low in humility) the error I reported was caused by MYSELF. After a week of not even sitting in front of my PC, I thought I would try something I hadn’t done before running here to the forum. Well, I am sitting here with my AvastIS running as it should, NO errors anywhere. Tests all look good (full scan and MBAM), so it’s NOT broken—I think my brain was switched off that day.
