Hi,
i’m on win7 64bit fully patched. I just installed the newest avast free update.
On checking the install, avast has installed cleanup component without my consent.
Cost me another reboot to get rid of it.
Could the installer at least ask?

i said that i uninstalled it already. I wanted an answer for the install without my consent.
The standard answer ‘‘how to uninstall’’ is not helpfull.

Welcome.
Avast has a default settings for general install with basically all features and options enabled (auto-opt-in).
When you get to the screen where you are about to install avast, look for Custom install option. Also look for options (auto-opt-in) for CCleaner and Chrome installs at the bottom of the screen and uncheck these if you do not want them.
