Client displays as black - questions

A certain client displays as black in the “Computers with Agent” group. I seem to be able to deploy to it, run on demand tasks, etc… I can “Verify Offline Status” and get the green check.

So I am unclear as to what this means, and if it is an early warning of a problem?

SBS 2003 environment, with all XP Pro computers

Another instance where I re-added the client as a different name in SBS 2003, and it worked fine.

BTW are there any non-Latin characters in the computer names? I mean like accented characters.
