Client does not run on Windows 7

I have a new 64 bit client machine with Windows 7 that I just pushed out Avast to and it installed it with no problem. ADNM and the client are talking together just fine. When I go into services the only one that is running is the NetAgent which makes sense because of what I just mentioned. Unfortunately, Avast itself is not running on the client. I have tried going into the properties for it and putting in the password again to no avail. When I try to start the service all I get is a 1069 error.

I had found a post on this forum from a couple of years ago about there being an issue with the 64bit version, but it sounded like a fix was on the way.

Any thoughts at all?

Got it working! It finally dawned on me (after a few days) that Windows 7 does not have a login to administrator like XP does by default. I set it to the local user and it came right up.

Well, it does, but it’s disabled by default. Glad you got it picked up though.

However, you should be using a domain admin user/pass, that way you don’t have to have a local user account on every PC that you’re managing.
