two days ago we started the bpp installation at one of our customers.
we installed the SBC console (version 1.0.888.19) and we were able to find the systems in the network. after that we pushed the clients, and restarted them … but after that the clients are still in the trial mode > they are not able to find the server.
after reading a few threads we created a new license file, because of containing an “ü” in the company name. We inserted the new file and restarted some clients, but without result > the server is not found.
Is there a way to tell the clients manually to look for the server ?
Could you check following things, please
1, in client UI, Settings > Troubleshooting > avast! Administration Console. There should be FQDN of computer where you installed the SBC (or IP).
thanks for the hint. we checked the logs and found out that there was a problem with the dns-lookup. so we changed in the client the name of the server to the real ip-adress, restarted the system and it finds the server.
now for some reason we get the message that the vps could not be updated. but first we have to check the proxy-settings. i will do that on monday and then i´ll get back and give a feedback.
@wpn > thanks for the hint with the faq, which i read before.
but i still have the problem that the clients will not get the actual vps-file. we started then a manual update at the client, which produced an error that the client cannot find the internet server. all the other client are not willing to update.
