Close Avast?

My Outlook exchange has stopped working after I updated avast.
I can’t find where to turn off the program? do I have to uninstall avast to check if Outlook works then?

Repair Avast:

  1. Avast GUI → Settings → Troubleshooting
  2. Click on ‘REPAIR APP’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.
