I wonder what the deal is; today on CNET, Avast dropped out of the top 5 most popular downloads to number 36. Why the sudden decline? Is it because of all the issues being reported about the new version of the product?
I’m guessing they separated the version 5 from 4 and there are people downloading both, hence causing both to drop
or you were just looking in the wrong place…

WOW! Literally since I made the initial post, it went from #36 to #2! Maybe CNET just had their download page screwed up, or something this morning. By any standard, that is one GIANT step up! 
Not to get off topic but is Cnet downloading the latest updated version (not 377 I think it was, that was the first release and had issues)?
I love my Avast 4.8 and 5 messed my computer up but I went back to 4.8 (and got things back in order) for now until the glitches are fixed…I can’t wait to use 5 when it’s fixed.
