The one I’m thinking about is the 30/60 day ‘Free Trial’ of say Avast Premium Security, to get this Free Trial you ordinarilly would have to complete a Payment Mandate that will be actioned close to that date, if you haven’t cancelled that Payment Mandate in advance.
This is I believe the only way that they would have got your banking details to setup a payment mandate.
