Hopefully this will also answer your two posts since my reply here.

There are Three On-Demand scans Avast User Interface (UI) > Menu > Settings > Protection > Virus Scans.

There are only 3 scan types here 1: Full Virus Scan, 2: Targeted 3: Boot-Time Scan.
The Boot-Time scan is a special scan and other than elect to run it, I don’t believe there are any customisations you can make.

For the others they should allow for your Exceptions you have set for ‘local hard drive files/folders’ that you have added. See attached screenshot (click to expand) of my Exceptions, note most of these are set by Avast for files that shouldn’t present a risk. At the bottom of this image are the only two exceptions that I have set, 1: is some samples I have for testing and 2: is a file that Avast considers malicious, but I’m not so sure.
