I have installed Avast 5 free with Comodo 4 firewall with Sandbox. I have found this version of comodo is much better and less annoying than the previous versions. The Sandbox is good too…
Have you used this comodo version? please add your inputs.
Good to hear! I tried CIS 4 RC1 but it was terrible. I only scored 30/340 on leak tests and couldn’t block some programs from writing to the registry with Defense+. How do you score on leak tests?
Are you talking about Comodo leak test suite?

Just tested…
it scored 340/340.
Thank you, yes CLT is what I mean. I’m using CIS 3.14 now and the updater shows no updates. I will download the new version and report back after testing for awhile. ;D
Happy testing… 8)
the update 2 4.0.x.779 fixed some issues, still there r some bugs left…
(eg. https://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cis/rogue-bypass-the-last-release-of-the-av-t54126.0.html)
won’t use it till these probs r resolved… (i use the ‘annoying’, but well working 3.14)

yes, it’s ok, as long as configured as the ‘old’ 3.14.
thats why i stick to it, till otherwise convinced by the comodo forum.

Not sure, shouldn’t be… But if you are using comodo v4, no, as it is blocking all the attempts…

Anyway what is the leaktest score on v3?
I have to admit to getting a weird feeling when a firewall passes its own anti leak test.
I have zero confidence in such test when it is so easy to design the test so that your firewall will get 100% or to design your firewall to pass your own anti leak test.
Any such tests have to be seen as independent.
Can this test harm my computer?
not that much, some minor hd explosions where encountered, but nothing 2 worry about. ;D

sry, fun away: read bout the test on the developer hp…

You are right, but you can get a baseline idea though. Because as already reported, the RC version failed miserably in the leaktest. Anyway do you know any other leaktest suite…???
Anyway what is the leaktest score on v3?
configured properly, it passed all tests, i ever found on the net.
thats, why i won’t drop it 2 any other fw, right now.

well, thanx 4 the help, mate. (we’re grownig 2gether more and more )
but the configuration must fit…
some hints: always use proactive settings and d+ along with the fw!!!
also latest os-sec updates will be needed… and some more, 2 get to the desired 99,98% security. i don’t dare to go higher, cause 100% can never b reached if connected 2 the net, imo.

More than happy that the last infection detected on my system was 'Yankee Doodle' in the late 80ies. [avast did its part]Are you using Avast since then???!!! And really no more infection...????
