Comodo appdata folder scanning

I have comodo 3 installed and I’ve noticed that at startup, avast spends a long time scanning the folder located in…

C:\Users\steven\AppData\Roaming\Comodo\Firewall Pro\Data

which is mostly filled with pngs, bmps and icon files. To the extent that it slows the startup of my pc (vista premium) - takes nearly a minute for avast to fully scan.

Is there any way I can exclude this folder from avast scanning?

update: ok, I found the exclusion settings and copied this into the program setting and on access custom settings…

“C:\Users\steven\AppData\Roaming\Comodo\Firewall Pro\Data\ResFiles*”

but it still scans that folder! help?

Avast only scans files that are a) being loaded/executed, etc. and b) present a possible risk and .png files can be exploited. So I would have to ask what it accessing these file on boot to cause avast to scan them.

It would also depend on which exclusions you added it too, I suspect, Program Settings, Exclusions, which is for on-demand scans and it is the resident scanner at work during boot.

The Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add is for resident scans.
