Finally had to give SAS the good by ! Suppose to work on OSME, but don’t. updates took 45 min and when a new version came out, had to uninstall the old, and reinstall the new. (as least on mine any more) Am running Comodo BOClean. I guess it is working, The icon (what ever it is), flashes Green, then a down error for updates etc. Any comments on this Application Would be appreciated, if being used or have tried. Thanks.
I don’t like the SAS updates as it downloads the whole signature files about 3MB, and on dial-up that is a pain. However there has just been an SAS Program update ant that would also add to the download duration.
I didn’t have to reinstall the update proceeded without a problem and updated and restarted the program, but then again I’m using XP Pro, you are always going to be in a world of hurt on winME as programs progress you get left behind.
Even some avast program updates have problems on win9.x, winME and have to be reinstalled to get it working properly. So I think the problem isn’t entirely on the SAS side.
Some people consider me a dinosaur sticking with XP Pro and totally avoiding Vista with a passion, but it really is time to look at updating your OS (at least to XP which has security updates until 2014). You may get away with XP (but not Vista) on your existing system you may need some more RAM.
You will see the problem of finding programs for your old OS a thing of the past.
Best source for good information on BOClean is Rednose at the Comodo forum-you can PM him or just start a thread in the BOClean section. He is also an Avast! user, but doesn’t post here much because of lack of Avast! problems.
I suppose it’s going to be discontinued as a stand alone product?
sorry I didn’t read all 14 pages.
Hi RNfromTN
Well I hang on to it as long as it is there as a standalone, do you have a good alternative for when it is dis-continued?
I hope they won’t do a similar thing to RUBotted when TrendMicro will take that out of beta, but some of these tools of theirs were always free.
When good software gets over-propriety-ish we get these problems, some feel that security for the home user is important and you find that for instance in their policies, like with good old avast and zonealarm and others,

Thanks rnfromtn, I picked another looser. >:( But as DavidR stated at the end, Older OS never die, Just fade away. ;D Thanks all !!
