i had downloaded COMODO firewall for my pc… But it turned out to be complex (when i say complex i mean extremely complex). it started showing a lot of unnecessary popups and interfered with a lot of programs… Is it worth downloading?
It takes a while to learn what needs to have access to the Internet and is rather dumb in that it does not have a listing somewhere of known safe applications.
Personally I do not like anything from Comodo as they release their product before it is tested extensively and rely on users to help test their product and provide bug reports so that they can fix them one at a time.
I prefer a hardware firewall in a router as it does not impact system performance and requires minimum user knowledge to set up and most DSL and cable modems already have a built in firewall.
If you keep your system clean of malware with applications like Malwarebytes MBAM, SUPERAntSpyware and Windows Defender plus application monitoring applications like WinPatrol then the use of a software firewall becomes redundant.

Google is your friend.
Comodo does have a safelist for certain programs and with all the beta’s and RC coming out it is tested well before release. That there are problems is inevitable. Avast is also not trouble free for a whole lot of people just as AVG and many other programs.
I use Comodo on 3 computers at home without problems, even my little brother has no problem reading the messages. If he doesn’t know he asks me what to do.
I will recommend you, Outpost Firewall Pro 2009, its better than comodo, but its not free.
you can donwload it from here: http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/download.php
