i’m using comodo firewall and i find it really effective, easy to use and with many features…its simply one of the best free firewalls out there…but recently i’ve heard about kerio personal firewall(free edition)…is it better than comodo?it has the same, more or less features than comodo?
according to this site http://www.firewallleaktester.com/tests_overview.php the kerio firewall seems to be more effective than comodo…but neither i like to see disabled features in my program…and i have already customise the settings/rules at comodo so i will keep it…

I think a forum search for both comodo and kerio would be worth while as both have had issues at times. Use the advance search and sort by Most recent so you don’t get very out of date info.
Thanks TimCan… bookmarked…
I’m happy to be using Comodo ;D
Oh, I just want to add that we can’t expect better words about AVG Firewall… it’s ridiculous… but AVG users seem to believe on Grisoft in this point.
The antispyware is excelent, the antivirus is good, the firewall is ridiculous
i was sure that AVG cannot make a gd firewall…and i don’t like their AV either…it has no gd interface and believe me…even if its effective,u get bored of it coz it looks like windows 95 program…i’m staying with comodo…i knew it is effective and i surprised wih the results i firstly saw at http://www.firewallleaktester.com/tests.php but now i convinced that comodo is the best free Firewall…thk u all guys for ur time and ur rly interesting info…
yeah?y?i find it rly good…the only bad in my opinion is that it has no an hacker attack calculator…i mean,it would be nice if it can shows how many attacks blocked like ZA…
Any counter is just a warm fuzzy feeling for the user and really of little use (wow, my firewall stopped 1000 attacks, it the ones that it doesn’t that will hurt), you have nothing to fear with the stuff it stops, just the stuff it doesn’t stop and there is no counter for that ;D
Whilst my firewall does have an attack detection plug-in, which is a lot more than a simple counter I rarely ever check my firewall logs unless I’m suspicious or often fault finding to see if something has been blocked. So the outbound and inbound blocked logs can be useful in fault finding, etc.
HAHA…yeah…i should afraid of the things it doesn’t stop… but as u said it makes u feel gd and safe when u see “1000attacks blocked”…yeah i check the logs too from time to time to see what’s going on…what firewall do u use?
and have u bought it or did u use any crack/serial key to make it full version?coz i want to know which method u used to do the same…(i’m not talking of buying it ofc)
I bought it and I believe there is a special price deal on at the moment.
For a limited time*, you can get a 3-year license for Outpost Firewall Pro at the price of a 2-year license. Get your Outpost 3-year license today and save up to $24.95 off the regular price!
Cracks/key generators aren’t recommended, you are more likely get an unwelcome gift also, not to mention it deprives the company of revenue for further development. If people can’t afford it there are free options that provide adequate protection when linked into your general system protection.
i know its illegal and u may get infected with these “crackes” but its a gd way to save ur money and use a very gd program as outpost…i used to use crackes for every progam in my pc but no i use cracks only in games(no cd cracks)…i’m not going to switch comodo but i was curious if u cracked it how did u do it coz i tried to in the past…
