Compatibility with Malwarebytes / Scans getting stuck at 9%

Hi,

I am currently having an issue when trying to run scans on the latest version of Avast. I have tried both a Smart Scan and a full system scan and both have got stuck at 9% and not progressed any further than this even after sitting for a couple of hours.

Today I tried to repair Avast via Control Panel and I got an error message from Avast advising that I need to uninstall Malwarebytes as Avast is not compatible with it.

I have been using both Malwarebytes and Avast for the last 2 or 3 years and had no problems with either. I am wondering if anyone can advise on if these are two seperate issues or if perhaps Malwarebytes is now preventing Avast from running properly.

If there is already a post about this somewhere on the forum please feel free to just point me in that direction, I did try searching but couldn’t find anything relevant.

Have got some really useful help from the forum in the past so this is why I am asking again.
