Computer does not Shut down after Scheduled Scans

Hello there,

would anyone know why, after I set: “Shut down the system after the scan finishes”, the computer does not shut down?

This is at Scheduled Scans.

well first it’s supposed to shut down if the option is checked, not restart (wouldn’t make sense, unless there was an option to remove malware at boot time which is not the case). Can you correct the title of this thread please? … and I haven’t checked recently, but “shut down” works here. What doesn’t and never did (here) is “wake up from sleep mode” for a scheduled scan.

Thanks for correcting. This is Hong Kong, FYI. I don;t know if its a regional problem though.

a regional problem ??? what doesn’t it have to do with this? :smiley: I see now that you’re an Avast reseller, and still I do seriously doubt that Avast modified this particular feature for HK :wink:

This happened to me yesterday and this morning. I have my Full System Scan set for the evening and to “shut down the system after the scan finishes” and I found my computer on yesterday and this morning.

Can anyone tell me how would I fix this?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
