Computer Lockdown!

I have recently downloaded the free trail of Avast 7 and Now my computer wont connect to the internet, it wont let me uninstall it, it wont let me do any Administrative tasks. I have tried rebooting it and the problem still occurs. I just want to know how to get rid of this problem without spending money getting my computer cleaned completely. Please help me!

To fix it on your computer please download AsOutExt.dll and AsOutExt64.dll from:

http://public.avast.com/~kurtin/AsOutExt.dll
http://public.avast.com/~kurtin/AsOutExt64.dll

Then disable avast! selfdefense module in Avast Settings - Troubleshooting and
copy these files into your Avast directory (usually C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast).
Your problem should be fixed.

Often times when someone is having difficulty with an AV it is due to other things. First I need to know the following:

  1. What is your OS, 32 or 64-bit?
  2. What version of Avast did you install? 7.0._ _ _ _ (7.0.1426 or 7.0.1451?)
  3. What other security software do you currently have or did you have in the past on this machine including:
  • Antivirus (AV)
  • Firewall (FW)
  • Trial versions of AV, FW and other security programs
  • Other security software
  • If they were in the past, how did you remove them (the vendor’s uninstaller’s tool or another way)?
