I know this is off topic a little but my computer randomly makes buzzing sound from the speakers when sound is playing and my pc freezes up but it only lasts for like 2 seconds. any idea?

Have you tried updating to the latest realtek audio drivers ? http://www.filehippo.com/download_realtek_high_definition_audio/ iv just updated my 64 bit realtek HDA drivers and there working fine.
Should i update them? i went into devices and right clicked the sound driver and clicked update and it said there is no updates.
Edit: Which would i need to install. Is the windows vista 64-bit one for windows 7 64-bit also? Also if i update it will any of my settings in the Realtek Audio HD Manager get changed or will they stay the same?
Is this the latest version?

Manufacturers don’t always offer the latest drivers. They only have the ones they have rebranded and /or tweaked for their machines. If the machine is a desktop, you can get the latest driver from Realtek and install it without a problem. Laptops are trickier and sometimes only work right with the manufacturer versions. You’d just have to try them and see what happens. You can always go back to the older ones if the new one doesn’t work right.
The latest version number on the realtek site is 6.0.1.6383. This is what they say there however>

I’ll just stick with the manufacturers realtek driver cause i have a laptop and i don’t want to take any risks.

Yes you just use the 64 bit vista as its for windows 7 as well, iv been using the updates to the realtek HDA drivers on my laptop for the last two years and never had any problem, if i left it for acer to do the updates i’d never get any as they haven’t supplied any new drivers for me for at least a year or more.
The same with nvidia drivers, they also never get updated on the acer site.
I have had many cases with laptop where buzzing and other audio sounds are caused by improper shielding in the laptop. WiFi and/or Bluetooth signals being picked up by the audio system.
If you computer has a switch to disable the wireless radios (Sort of a “Airplane Mode”) try turning them off to see if the issue goes away. In one case disabling support for 802.11a in the WiFi driver fixed it (it was on an HP I believe)
Well now you’re talking about video drivers which can be even trickier for laptops. Many times, the new ones from the video card vendor will not even install on a laptop without being modified.
Well im not really talking about video drivers, it was just an example to the fact that acer and other computer company’s dont update there sites with the latest drivers very often if at all after a couple years of owning there systems which is why we turn to the software manufacturers for the updates.
Never had a problem with nvidia updates ever on several systems over the years but ATI driver updates are notorious for there problems, i would never use or recommend ATI to anyone.

See? I’ve had exactly the opposite experience with video. The only problems I have ever had were with Nvidia. I’ve used ATI/AMD for years with no problems whatsoever. In fact, I have never personally owned a machine with anything but ATI video. The problems with Nvidia were on family members’ machines.
This laptop is the same way with updating though . HP still has drivers for it from 2006 and that’s the newest . I managed to get the 9.3 ( March,2009)ATI drivers working by using the Mobility Modder from Driver Heaven and I run them with no control panel at all (you really don’t need one). Like I said, it’s tricky to update drivers, especially video, on laptops.
