Yesterday after some windows updates and reboot my computer stuck. Tried to boot also to safe mode, but I noticed that it was stucked at aswrvrt.sys. Some googling and noticed that some other has had issues with it also, so ran FRST64.exe. I’ll attach the log file. Please help.
Please be patient. A malware expert has been contacted for you.
First we will try a reset to the last successful boot, If that fails then I will remove Avast, after that it will mean looking at BIOS settings
Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST as before and press fix
Once done try a startup repair
Unfortunately this did not help, still stucks at the same point.
OK try this fixlist it will disable all Avast drivers and services
If it fails we may need to look at the HD settings within BIOS
This did not help either. Now the computer stucks on classpnp.sys when booting in safe mode.
OK next will be to enter the BIOS and change the hard drive settings from IDE to SATA or vice versa
OK, the BIOS was set to AHCI and I changed it Native IDE. And after this booting with first Safe Mode went OK. Also after that normal boot was also OK. The only thing that was not working was network card, but that I think is easy to repair. Thank you very much for your help essexboy
Glad to hear, it is usually a windows update that causes this … But, sometimes it just does it for the hell of it
