i would like to report a major bug…
a INDIAN student pointed out u simply cannot create a folder named “con” any where on ur comp running on windows XP…
all top microsoft techies including Mr Bill Gates could not answer why…
try it for ur self…pretty cool huh???

Under dos, “con” was short for “console” which usually meant the keyboard. It could be used in commands such as “copy con file.bat” to directly type the contents of a batch file, for example.
I’m guessing Windows prevents naming a folder “con” in order to avoid multiple meanings for the same term.
Yes. This is a Windows limitation, as you can’t create a folder called LPT1 8)
