Hi
Have already post about it at the wishlists but i will post about it here as i think this is very important
I realy want to see The feature for al avast product of keep al the user config (choices of config) in a little file
And so the user should manager this config file with the habilities to load, save oreven delete this litlr file
This should be useful as using this little file the user dhould simply load a new build or a fresh install of the curent build just by a click and not losing time configuring each build
What do you think?
Thank you
Happy hollydays
I will keep my fingers crosseds
Thank you for your kind answer
Btw you think it would be possible to see it in the next v5.? or in the major v6.x only?
since the A. team dont think its important my point,I will ask people here if there is some way to export avast config from version to version, since its a realy waste of time reconfig avast again and again from version to version,
This is the best av but sometimes it seems to be in the cave era yet
If you had waited for the stable then you would not have to reconfigure avast as it would install over the top.
This is the peril’s of beta testing, if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen
So are you saying is always safe to instal,(official) versions over the top?
Thanks
Anyway, if in v6 its possible already reset the config, i honestlly cant understand why we users cant sinply save a litle config file in order to use it in each new version :-\
You could back up the ini files, I have done that with a recent install that I messed up. The only problem that I can see is that avast5.ini may not be called that, but it is then a simple rename…
Normal program update’s are usually safe to install over the top but with major version changes it can be better to do clean installs.
Vlk usually indicate’s in the first post of a new version if it is safe to install over the top or if a clean install will be required as he did for the 5.1 to 6 beta update.
