how can i configure smtp allerts in avast 5?
there is an option, where i can config to receive emails with virus allerts…

i have problem to configure yahoo smtp…
i have an pc at home… with avast and sometimes i scan that… so i tried to configure to receive an yahoo email everytime that the result was finished.
but it’s dont work…
smtp.mail.yahoo.com.br
port 25
and my email…
I don’t use this feature in avast and I don’t use Yahoo so not a lot of practical help in that area.
However when you say it doesn’t work, what errors are being displayed ?
If you didn’t enter the user name and password if yahoo requires authentication (which I would have though it does) then it would fail.
I am going to guess and say that this won’t work because IIRC yahoo uses SSL, so it falls into the same category as gmail…the test may work, but emails won’t be sent. I think logos mentioned this somewhere, and a dev commented.
I personally would lime to.find a way to set this up, seeing as there are multiple users on the pc…
(bear in mind I could be wrong)
