Configuring AVast to scan "Poco Mail" incoming mail

Can anyone tell me , which exe. file in the avast program folder I assocaite with scanning my incoming mail for Poco mail.
Poco mail gives me the option to use a third party email scanner , and allows me to browse to the exe file for the avast scanner. Which file do I associate with that or does the Internet mail options in Avast already cover poco mail incoming mail. I know it covers Outlook , but what about poco mail?
please help!!

You don't have to associate anything to scan incoming mail. :)
I know it covers Outlook , but what about poco mail?
For each account you replace the following in Poco:

Server: your.isp.com
Username: username

becomes

Server: localhost or 127.0.0.1
Username: username#your.isp.com

btw Barca from Poco Systems was released today. You’ll find it here

I hope this helps.

Eric

I understand , what you wrote but it didnt work.
I tried that as posted, no luck.
Are you sure thats correct???
Any other suggestions, anyone else using Avast with poco mail?
thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Update: YOU were right the first time, I just didn’t realize exactly what you meant.
My normal settings were:
Server: pop@eastlink.ca I changed that to: 127.0.0.1
Then my Username went from: genweb to genweb#pop.eastlink.ca

The email are now being scanned by Avast.

Will this same setting work for outgoing mail also?
Thanks very much…

Sure, smtp configurations will be:

Server: 127.0.0.1
Set smtp authentication to ‘on’

user: genweb#smtp.eastlink.ca
or just
#smtp.eastlink.ca

password: *****
or let it blank

set to remember the used password (even the ‘black’ works)

Can you make some tests? Good luck!
Oh, I forgor, in the Internet Mail settings, check for scan outbound mail…
