Conflicting License Information

Avast has turned off my security software and gives me a message that my license has expired. My records AND the information listed in my Avast account show that my license does not expire until June, 2017. How do I get the Avast software turned back on?

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

I’m using Windows 10. Followed your instructions. Went to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs/Avast. There is NO option for me to “repair”, only change and uninstall.

Click on change, you should get a screen with repair options.

I clicked Change, but window opens saying Avast Pro has expired. There is no menu or other opportunity to “repair”. Only option available is a button to UNINSTALL.

This is second year in a row where Avast stopped working 2 months prior to expiration date. I paid for 12 months.

How can I contact an actual Avast person to correct this?

  • Which Avast…? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
  • Which version…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Thanks for your continued help. Here’s the info you asked for:
Avast Version - Pro
Windows 10, 64-bit
Avast 2022 (17.3.2291)
Last Update 4/17/2017
