I received an email from Avast saying ny subscription had been successfully renewed and I do not need to do anything but now I’m getting popups telling me I can extend my 20 day free trial to 60 days and when I click on the Avast icon it says I am in m a 20 day free trial. Any idea what is happening?

Thank you for your help Eddy, much appreciated, but I have another problem that I can’t seem to resolve. I have the Avast software on the laptop and have downloaded the licence. Avast’s instructions are tp double click on the licence and it will insert itself. This hasn’t happened and Avast still says I’m in a free trial despite my restating the computer.
There is an alternative way of inserting the download according to Avast involving a settings menu but I have no idea where that might be.
Can you suggest what I am doing wrong please?
