avast got the VB100 award for Windows Server 2003 in Oct 2010
Just for the record. The only antivirus that got all the latest awards are:
avast, Avira, Eset, Sophos
All other fail or did not participate in the tests.
Avast So Rocks!
Well, in other tests, avast - although certified - did not so good compared to the other free ones.

(Edit: the test is of some months ago)
Worth a view:

What surprises me:
- AVG is better than avast both on proactive and reactive detections.
- ESET is very very good. Kaspersky is very good.
- Avira pro has poorer reactive detection than Avira free?
- Symantec and McAfee products are very very weak compared to free ones…
- Comodo has a way long to improve.
Strange as i find avast! way better than Avira or AVG in term of exploit detection. Also that AV-Test seem not really trust to my eyes.
So for me i wont take care for that test they did. Also i see they all got the sames numbers of rates excepted for 3.5 of avast!..
Strange enought right ? When i will see this by my eyes that they did really test it i will can talk more and tell them what they did wrong or no.
Mr.Agent
Strange indeed. These results contradict the usual tests we see.
Ya im wondering if the testers even test alot exploit again the anti virus. If AV-Comparatives do this for like do a exploit test vs all anti virus its could be awesome to see who score the higher.
Mr.Agent
Sometimes we need to change our minds and opinions. Is it the case?
I am not saying that these results are wrong. (although it seems questionable)
Not sure what you mean by changing our minds. I’m not switching over to another AV because of this.
Neither do I. Just that we need to stop blaming AVG for a while ;D
Ah, I see. I have always thought that AVG wasn’t such a good product, based on personal experience and reviews/tests. I guess they’ve improved.
Hi Techs,
Do you have the document for VB100 award to avast 4 server edition?
cheers,
No. I’m just a registered user of VB, nothing more.
