Connect to phone numbers without user permission

I do not have a cell phone with Android yet :cry: but have a member in the Spanish forum who is really lost. He is asking why when Avast! mobile wants to update he gets a window asking to connect to other phone numbers without the user’s permission. If that makes any sence. Any body ? Thanks.

The way I understood him since I do not know how AM works is that when AM wants to update a window alert popups saying that the phone wants to call some numbers without authorization.

I think he means the PERMISSION:

Services that cost you money

  • Directly call phone numbers

This permission group is needed to implement the SMS and call blocker. We do not have the possibility to block calls without having that permission, unfortunately. Avast! Mobile Security is NOT using this permission in any other way. Please note that this permission is not dedicated to PREMIUM numbers, but is needed for ALL call processing, disregarding if its premium or a normal number.

That is what he said " Permission ". I think he does not understand how his NEW phone works and he is mistaking a phone alert for an Avast! alert.
