HI ! I’ve got a problem with connection to Virus chest from ADNM Console. All clients are XP PRO SP2(managed ver).
I have opened potrs : TCP:16102 16111 5033 UDP 6000 and I’cant connect!!! When I disable firewall evrythink is ok .But when is on I can’t connect? In avast.ini [chest] RemoteAcces=1 and I added viruschest as a program to XP firewall rules. But still the same i can’t connect. Why??
There is installed only avast managed on the clients no other antyvirus. I even try with repair (add/remowe programs)!!!
Which port must be opened to connect to virus chest?? Please reply
Remote chest access needs two TCP ports open on a workstation: the first is 135 (RPC) and the second is unfortunatelly dynamically allocated somewhere above 1024. This second port will be changed to 16108 (constant) in the upcoming release.
You can also allow all ports for process aswServ.exe to work around the dynamic allocation.

As I wrote I added program/proces viruschest.exe or somethink like that to firewall rules!
aswServ.exe hosts the virus chest servers (as well as other avast components, such as the on-access scanner). This is the process you need to allow network access to…
