What does connecting my Avast IS with an account do? Are there any advantages to this or is this simply just to connect my avast forum/community communication allocated to my avast UI ?
It is an account at my.avast.com that lists your avast products (devices), their status, licensing info, activity log of your avast installation, any infections, etc.
So it’s an optional thing right? When going over the new features today in the GUI, it said, “Not Connected” and gave me a form to fill out.
I decined by closing out of the Window.

Ahh didnt see the other screen posted, but yes only people working in IT or users that want remote info about their Avast really need this.
And how much devices can i connect to same account? It seems like only two device with avast free antivirus.
I didn’t think there would be any limit.
I’m still waiting for my 2nd registered device to appear in the account list.
