Help!! I upgraded to version 4.5.561 a few days ago. VPS 0505-01. Running W2000, on dell laptop P3 256K mem. I’ve had avast installed for almost 2 years and never had a problem. Now I am constantly getting timeout messages, my cable connection is disabled after only a very brief period after getting connected, and i’m lolsing patience. I must unplug the box from the wall and plug in again because of these lost connection problems.
I’ve read all the threads about the conn timeout and I’ve changed the setting to 600, no help. I use hotmail only, so there are no timeout settings to adjust for that.
Please help, this has never happened until I upgraded. Any suggestions are appreciated
try the 4.6.586 (beta) version. It has some fixes.
i went to the beta page of the site and could not find any link to download a beta version of the avast Home program. Can you specify where I can find it? Better yet, I would just like to go back to the previous version that i was using that didn’t cause me any problems. Is that possible, to go back a version? I want to be able to use my computer without having to unplug and plug in my cable modem every 5 minutes.
