Connection not established

I have two laptops, both running Avast IS, and under settings > update on one it says connection not established. See attached screenshot…

On my other laptop is says that connection is established. Why is connection not established on one, and how do i fix it?

P.s. Yes, I do have automatic updates enabled.

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

There are times when the Connection may drop out, but when it comes back on line you still get all of the latest streaming updates.

Check the Statistics > Component status and see if you are still receiving streaming updates - Mine shows 365 in the last 24 hours. Yours are likely to be different but not by much given we are in the same time zone.

Fixed! I remember there used to be an option to repair, but it was not available this time. So, I uninstalled / reinstalled and connection is now established. People say that sometimes this happens, but my connection was showing not established for around 2 weeks, yet i was still receiving updates. Just not getting notified of them.
