Constant [Infection blocked! URL:Mal] Popups

Hi guys,

Very very new to these forums, but long time avast! user. Came through a problem earlier today which makes a URL:mal notification pop up on 75% of websites that I visit (including these forums, Time.com, etc.). Really not sure what could be the problem as I haven’t been downloading anything much less anything that I shouldn’t be downloading and have been regularly scanning/keeping avast! up to date.

Infection: URL:Mal
URL: http://i.spigtrdpjs.info/spigtr/javascript.js?hid=69channel=GC
Process: /Applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google Chrome

I’ve reinstalled avast! and Google Chrome already yet the problem is still occurring. Scanned this morning and came up with no issues, but 20 un-scannable files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

http://i.spigtrdpjs.info/spigtr/javascript.js is a malicious URL and some page you have open in Chrome is trying to access it.
For more info about this particular URL use Google or ask in the “Viruses and Worms” forum section.

Try disabling all extensions in Chrome and see if th problem still occurs, if it doesn’t, then enable one by one until you find the culprit.

Thank you, all fixed now. Had a Spigot in there somewhere.
