Continuous differentia.ru and disorderstatus .ru pop-ups from avast

Hello,

Before the pop-ups started, my laptop suddenly slowed down and I was unable to shutdown my laptop. After some time the laptop shut itself off because of low battery. I started the laptop and then the pop ups started. I used my USB flash drive before these problems started. The pendrive had a shortcut to itself. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of these pop ups

Thank you

follow instructions here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

to clean your USB stick, scroll down to SPECIFIC INFECTIONS LOGS picture nr #5
Follow MCShield instructions

it is past midnight here in europe so malware removal team is off line now, check back tomorrow

Followed all the steps.

First step (Malwarebytes Anti-Malware) solved the problem. MBAM detected and removed all the infections. After restarting the laptop, the pop-ups stopped. I’ve followed the rest of the steps too.

I’ve attached the log files.

Thank you for the quick response and solution

When I plugged in the pendrive (before the pop-ups problem), I scanned it with avast before opening, avast did not detect anything. When I opened it there was a shortcut file in it and I deleted it. The problems started after I ejected my pendrive.

After running the suggested softwares, I plugged in the pendrive again and scanned it with MCShield. It too didn’t find any malware. But the pop-ups started after using the pendrive. I’m confused. Is it safe to use my pendrive?

I’ve attached the MCShield log.

If MCShield is not detecting it then I would recommend that you wipe the USB drive

: Keep Java Updated :

WARNING: Java is the #1 exploited program at this time. The Department of Homeland Security recommends that computer users disable Java
See this article

I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)

If you do need to keep Java then download JavaRa
Run the programme and select Remove Java Runtime. Uninstall all versions of Java present
Once done then run it again and select Update Java runtime > Download and install Latest version
