Controlling phone from PC

Hi, just installed and registered the free avast mobile app for android. Love the functionality and seems excellent, but can you control the app/functions from a PC? I don’t see where to sign into the mobile app anywhere. Thx in advance!

Hi,

this will be possible using the web interface that is coming.

That would be great. Any idea of a timeframe?

Can’t really tell any specific date, but if you read through this forum carefully, you will find some time estimates

Q1 2012 is the last official position.

I was wondering this too. I have another suggestion, that I think is a pretty important feature. Using google C2DM as the main method of controlling the phone, with SMS as a fallback. Many users don’t use their phones SMS (google voice users) and/or have it blocked by their cell providers.

I’m sure you can have a lot more control using C2DM as well. My guess is this is in the works, but in case it wasn’t I figured I’d suggest it :stuck_out_tongue:

hello a thing that obviously most people do NOT know: C2DM does not work, if the SIM card gets changed (google account will be invalidated). so relying just on C2DM will be no help if the phone is stolen.

our web interface implements C2DM but also SMS as fallback.
