Total waste of time scanning for tracking cookies, I have that unchecked in my scan settings when I do an SAS scan.
Set your browser not to accept 3rd party cookies (e.g. they aren’t for the site you are visiting), you can also have your browser only accept temporary cookies, you can also have your browser clear cookies when you close it.
Why would adblocker stop cookies it is after all trying to block ads (physical content) unless the site setting the cookie happened to be in the adblock domains.
Nothing in your signature blocks cookies, you don’t say what your browser is and this is your biggest allie, I use the Cookie Monster add-on in firefox to manage cookies.
The only cookie control I use is done on a manual basis. I buy them and eat them. ;D
The cookies on my computer are left alone. The only ones I have set to be blocked are third party cookies.
You’re welcome, aside from not allowing the third party cookies as I mentioned, there is probably an add-on for cookie management for Chrome should you want one.
For cookies connected to forums like this one and similar sites, you might not want to restrict them to session-only, particularly if you’re confident in the physical security of your system (e.g., you’re the only user). Permanent (or at least long-term) cookies are needed for the “remember me” part of logging in, and I think are also where your preferences for the site are stored.
Thank you everyone for your comments. IE is set to medium blocking as default to I’ve left that as it is and I have enabled blocking of 3rd party cookies in Chrome for now and I will see how things go from there.
At the end of a browsing session with GoogleChrome I clear all unwanted cookies (245) through Vanilla Cookie Manager extension and SAS won’t find up any tracking cookies whatsoever,
