On some topic pages, whenever certain individuals are contributing, I notice that my browser is blocking an attempt to place a cookie on my system. This is not the avast cookie which I allow.
What are these individuals trying to glean and why are they even allowed on the forum? ??? >:(

What you’re referring to are cookies from the place where their Avatar is stored.
It’s not from an individual.
I get that same notification everytime I open a thread in which Techie 101 has a post.
I know he’s NOT collecting anything.

XFire is a service similar to GameSpy (online multiplayer).
I belive this is running in your background monitoring fior those specific multiplayer games and thats why it’s showing while you browse. Just a guess…
