Could be malicious or it could be nothing

Greetings,
I noticed this strange HTML code within a message I received through Myspace. The message did not come from a spam bot or anything like that. I did not even see the code until I went to forward the message to a friend.(which I did not send) It’s probably not a good idea to repost it here. But I took the part of the code that wasn’t actual HTML. That part is this “gauntlet_tokenizer_reserved” without the quotations. Intrigued I then Googled that ‘phrase’ to see what would come up. One of the results was this “<br style=“display: none;gauntlet_tokenizer_reserved=**”">

A decep tive YouTube attack evolving as it spreads on the …" without the *'s or "'s. I suppose I said I wouldn’t repost the code but… well there it is Google the phrase and you’ll find the exact same thing in many results on many different websites. It may be malicious though I have no idea in what form. I will not be logging into anything for the duration just in case.

Well the style tag, applies a style to all within the opening and closing tags. The style name contained in the =" " bit is usually predefined on the page, font size, etc. or could be from a css file.

Why they are using BR line break or WBR (I assume word break) is strange but the piece of code in isolation doesn’t show if this it within a small area. But to me in isolation it doesn’t seem malicious, which is no guarantee as we don’t know the context or content of the style or if it also has a CSS file, etc.

So really there is insufficient information to give any full analysis or answer.
