Hey, as you guys probably notice, I’m brand new to this forum - so I have no idea how some things work here [suspicious](not talking about the forum software; I actually work as the support team mentor/leader with an SMF host called SMFNew)[/suspicious].
Looking in the Group Membership section, I notice there’s two groups. There’s Avast! Evangelist and Beta Tester. I assume Beta Testers test the program, but where would I go to learn more about becoming one? I’m very interested in PC security, and I’d love to be able to help make my favourite antivirus software be even better.
What is an Avast! Evangelist? Again, where could I go to learn more about this group? If it’s something I can do or something I’m interested in, I’d love to take part.

You become a beta tester by downloading the beta listed in that section and installing it.
Remember that beta testing has risks and should never be done on your main computer.
The rank of Evangelist is an earned title. As you can see from yours, you’ve got a long way to go.
Thanks for the welcome, and I figured that the beta testing shouldn’t be done on the main computer of mine; I have a couple of older Dell laptops that were heading for the scrap heap as it is; I should dig one out and join testing, I’d love to help.
As for the evangelist position, I understand, I’m not asking for ranks or anything. Just trying to see if there’s any way I can help.
