I’ve been having really slow internet access and freezing of Task Manager and Internet Explorer for a while and I thought it was just my internet connection acting funny or random freezing. Then I started getting these weird errors like “couldn’t ‘write’ memory” and such. Then I started seeing this weird process running in task manager called ‘kbrun.exe’. I searched it on Google and I couldn’t find it. I was curious and started to maybe think it was a virus so I checked Microsoft.com and somehow found myself lookin at Klev virus or something… So I ran off to download an anti-virus and got avast! which told me to reset… However, after resetting, I couldn’t get back onto my computer. In other words, my computer freezes after a minute of getting to my desktop. I’ve been able to run avast! through Safe Mode on windows (I have Windows XP) and it found only one virus. C:\Documents and settings\Owner.Katie\jpi_cache\jar\1.0\classload.jar-1f5b6b54-6c7f61bd.zip. The “Result” is Infection: JS: ClassLoader-7 and the “Operation” was Error occured during file deletingg: The system cannot find the file specified. The first time I tried to delete it, it said it was running and so I think I told it to try to delete after start-up. I’m pretty sure my Windows is fully updated and I don’t have internet connection on the infected computer. I’ve been using a seperate laptop to get here… Ahg… Help would be greatly appreciated… n.n
Hi Katie,
to get rid of this: close all programs & browser windows, then go controlpanel → java-plugin → Cache → Empty Cache / delete files
also empty your IE-Cache
please post a hijackthis-Log: http://hjt.klaffke.de/en
(if necessary, transfer the file via floppy to your PC, and be sure tu unpack it into a new, empty folder
Run in SafeMode (F8-Boot)
