Couple of questions

Just need to double check that i’ve set things up correctly, how do i check that the clients are getting the updates from our local avast install on the server. Also is there a way to stop the audio message on start up, the one that says “welcome to avast”. If the teachers leave the speakers on overnight it gives them a bit of a fright in the morning.

What avast! console are you using?

To check that the clients are getting the updates from your local avast install on the server, make a manual update in a client and check the IP adress of the server (see image).

In AEA you can disable the sound (see image).

Thank you for the reply, i do infact have the sounds disabled when i right click > properties on the computer group. I’ve just checked a local install and the sounds are enabled so it looks like the settings are not taking effect.

i should also point out that im using the enterprise console.

Any ideas on this anyone?

How i do check that a computer group is being effected by the policy settings. I have the sounds settings to disable on the policy settings yet on the computers within that group they are enabled.
