Will this shortcut placed on the desktop will ultimately causes any corruptions of files or activation (to already infected files) found in the Virus Chest through the Shortcut if there happens to has a virus attack?

[b]NO[/b] This shortcut is a simple way to get to the folder. It is nothing more than a quick end to a cumbersome means.
It doesn't open any files. It simply allows you to open the folder.
Thanks you very much for your reply. I have created the shortcut on my desktop and it really work effectively.

P.S. - However, this thread should be kept as it can really serve as a good reference for those who would like to have easier access to the Avast! Virus Chest through the shortcut.
Since you didn’t start the thread this is not something you can request be closed, etc. All threads remain open unless closed/locked by a moderator, even the originator can’t close a thread (unless of course, they were also a moderator).
