Hi. Each month I create a pdf from a publisher file for my newsletter. This month the pdf is automatically put in the virus-chest because of this trojan.
I have Avast, VPN and Cleanup.
what else do I need to get rid of this?
Thanks
PDF:UrlMal-inf. = it means the pdf.doc containe a clickable link to a blacklisted URL
So you can make the link none clickable then I think it should not be detected, or report it if you think url is wrongly blocked >> https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=14433.msg1289438#msg1289438
You can also check url against several blacklists here >> https://www.virustotal.com/
Note the scan date, if not today (cached result from previous scan) then click the blue button at top right and rescan
OK. I only had two clickable links. They’re both now not clickable. I’ve also checked them on VirusTotal. No issues.
but still the same error
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Sue
Then I suggest you report them as possible false positives, they may have had previous issues and now clean, if so avast lab will remove block
You may also post link to VirusTotal scan results here
Thanks for that.
sorry - a bit of a novice at this - can you tell me how I can report them as false positives please?
thanks
